AB - The paper presents a statistical analysis of the im-
pact of passenger and goods transport on environ-
mental protection. 2017 and 2018 were analyzed
from the aspect of the total number of passengers
and goods, transport of passengers and goods by
branches of transport, accompanying activities in
traffic, border traffic, fuel consumption in the field
of transport, transport of passengers and goods by
months for 2018. Based on the presented statistical
data, an environmental impact assessment was
performed through the discharges of gloomy and
nitrogen particles into the air. Concentrations and
amounts of nitrogen and sulfur oxides are defined
as a linear increase, ie. the impact of the transport
of passengers and goods on air and the rest of the
environment. The paper points to the strong impact
of traffic on the environment in all areas.

AB - The paper presents selected results of an em-
pirical research related to attitudes of students of
management, nautical and students of environmen-
tal protection, in relation to introducing a ecology
course and environmental education. Also, one of
the goals of the research, was to examine the habits,
behavior and knowledge in the domain of environ-
mental protection. It was found that the subjects,
students of environmental protection are consid-
ered, that classes related to ecology and environ-
mental education need to be introduced into the
education system of the Republic of Serbia, starting
from the primary education, secondary to higher
education and that it would contribute to the devel-
opment of environmental awareness and behavior
would be great. It was also found that respondents,
students of management, in a small percentage un-
derstand the issues related to environmental educa-
tion.

AB - The paper analyzes through statistical data the
realized investments and spent investments in envi-
ronmental protection in the areas: air protection,
wastewater and waste management, protection and
remediation of soil and surface waters, protection
against noise and vibration and nature protection.
Investments in the period from 2013 to 2018 are
also presented. The revenues realized in the protec-
tion of the environment and investments realized
through participation in the rehabilitation and im-
provement of the state of the environment is con-
sidered. Working in a comprehensive and analytical
way enables, through the presented data, to predict
the trends that will follow the future investment
packages in improving the protection of the envi-
ronment. The paper provides an overview of eco-
nomic instrument in the environmental sector in the
Republic of Serbia based on available data , thus
indirectly providing a view into achieved goals and
measured of environmental policy defined in stra-
tegic and planning documents, such as: National
Environmental protection programme, National
Sustainable Development Strategy and National
Environmental Approximation Strategy for Serbia.

AB - The paper presents an application of the model
for monitoring of pollution in the mining pits.
There were presented the measuring results of sus-
pended particles. There have been elaborated the
measuring results in 2006 and 2007 years. This
study analyzes of the impact of lignite exploitation
on surface pit on the environment, to analyze and
assess the impact of lignite mining on air pollution
were used the standard models EPA (US Environ-
mental Protection Agency) and AERMOD and
ISC3. AERMOD model includes a wide range of
possibilities for modeling the impact of pollutants
on air pollution.

AB - During this trial period should be tested site
parameters, which were designed and to perform
the calibration of the necessary technical parame-
ters that were related to the SCADA system for
continuous tracking and managementin the func-
tioning of the cellsfor wastewater treatment. The
main task of the probation of the wastewater treat-
ment station Volkovois a creation of a lending mil
in SBR bioaeration basin through which the process
will be carried out on biological treatment. It is also
necessary to create conditions for the natural cycle
of replacement of the old mill with a new mill,
which will be processed by the processing of the
line for the sludge, via centrifugation the sludge,
and its neutralization by means of liquid polyelec-
trolyte. Bearing into account that it is about a totally
new building with one integrated processing line
that contains in itself the mechanicaltreatment,
biologically treatment and the treatment of the
wastesludge, it is necessary to draw from the expe-
riences of already existing station for the treatment
of the waste water and to apply in the new treat-
ment cells as finished solutions which can also
contribute to the improvement of the work of the
treatment station for the faecal waste water. Prima-
ry results refer to the time of the deposition of the
sludge and the creation of its own active sludge in
SBR bioaeration pools and the concentration of
oxygen in the SBR bioaeration pools, through
which can be obtained the basic mathematical de-
pendence for thesuccess of the release in thetrial
operation of treatment station Volkovo.
